National Reality

A Poem by Mohammed A

Country of national horror

From the far to the deep

It is fear to danger

And from exile to the second

Country of war

Destroyed all my buildings

Security has died in my country

Death become free

Country of national grief

It is painful to overcome

The misery and deprivation

Country of patience

And the people who have stopped me

How many have been displaced and

How many have sought refuge

They walked away without my address

Country of national oppression

And death without coffins

The sadness in my heart begins

The tears cover my eyelids.
